GLP Medication

This medication is a weekly injection. This medication mimics one of the gut hormones that targets the area of the brain that regulates appetite and food intake. It also slows our stomach down from emptying making us fuller longer. Common side effects include but are not limited to nausea, constipation, and GI upset. There is a risk for gallstone and/or pancreatitis. You should not take this medication if you have a history of thyroid cancer, gallstones, or pancreatitis. Medication can be ordered through your pharmacy (if its a covered benefit-please call your insurance and ask) or through a compounding pharmacy and delivered directly to you. ​​​​​​​
