About Me

Jessica Gerner, FNP-C
Jessica is a family nurse practitioner who believes healthcare should be personal, accessible, and centered around the patient—not insurance companies. With experience in critical care, hospice, urgent care, and family medicine, she brings a well-rounded and compassionate approach to primary care. Since becoming a nurse practitioner in 2019, she has focused on building meaningful relationships with patients and providing care that allows time to listen and truly understand their needs. Jessica is licensed in Arizona, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Washington, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Vermont.

She began her healthcare career as a registered nurse in the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit, where she learned how important it is to stay calm, thorough, and compassionate—especially during life’s most stressful moments. That experience shaped her belief that good medicine isn’t rushed and that patients deserve a provider who is present and invested in their care.

Jessica became a nurse practitioner to have more autonomy and more time with patients. Direct Primary Care allows her to practice medicine the way she always envisioned—without the constraints of insurance, short visits, or one-size-fits-all care. Instead, she focuses on access, transparency, and long-term health.

She has a special interest in obesity medicine and enjoys helping patients improve their health through realistic, individualized plans. By using evidence-based treatments and ongoing support, she works alongside patients to create sustainable changes that fit their lives.

In addition to weight management, Jessica provides comprehensive family medicine services, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and treatment of acute illnesses. Her goal is to be a trusted partner in her patients’ health—someone they can reach, rely on, and feel comfortable with.

Outside of the clinic, Jessica is a wife and mom to two boys and two dogs. She enjoys camping, fishing and spending quality time with her family. She currently lives in Indiana and is excited to offer accessible, relationship-based care to patients.
